Imaging phonon-mediated hydrodynamic flow, published in Nature Physics

Our work on phonon-mediated hydrodynamic flow in WTe2 was just published in Nature Physics. This work is the result of an intensive collaboration across Harvard (the Yacoby group and NarangLab), MIT, and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids (Gooth and Felser). Inspired by the considerable interest and mysteries in non-diffusive electron flow, this multidisciplinary effort [...]

Dominik is starting on the physics faculty at Tel Aviv University. Congratulations!

A big congratulations to Dr. Dominik Juraschek on his new position on the physics faculty at Tel Aviv University! Dominik joined the NarangLab in 2019 as an SNF Fellow working on dynamics of quantum materials, especially states of matter that can be induced via vibrational processes. Here's a link to his group's website, starting October 2021. Good luck Dominik (soon-to-be Prof. Juraschek ) [...]
Yaxian and Jon win LEES 2021 Junior Awards!

Yaxian and Jon win LEES 2021 Junior Awards!

Congratulations to Dr. Yaxian Wang on winning the gold award for best presentation at LEES 2021 and Dr. Jon Curtis on winning the silver award for best poster! Yaxian's talk at LEES was on Ab initio signatures of phonon-mediated hydrodynamic transport in semimetals and Jon's poster was on cavity magnon-polaritons.
